Nice staff. Friendly enough. Hotel is old and shows the wear and tear. Website was a bit fuzzy about what amenities go with the rooms but suffice it to say, Anything under 300 RMB may disappoint. We were able to upgrade for 80 or 90 RMB to get a bigger room with western toilet, tub etc,, but it leaked somehow on the carpet, even with a shower curtain. All in all, it was Beihai, so all in all, it fit our budget, and was close to restaurants. Not as close to the beach as it appeared to be though.
