So-so
Silver Beach Hotel was just an average experience. There was nothing fancy about the room. The bed was moderately comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but floor mat appeared to be used and not cleaned. The AC worked well, but sometimes had an odd smell. There was no closet or place to hang clothes in the room. Breakfast was included, but was very basic options. Overall, I would recommend if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep without fancy amenities.

Don't do it
I had read the reviews and given this hotel the benefit of the doubt. Don't make that same mistake. We arrived to find a hotel that is mid-renovation to the point where it should not be open to the public. Our room appeared to be partially renovated with a newer bathroom, but incomplete - molding not placed, mirror on the door had large crack down the middle, digital mirror in bathroom did not work. The room itself was pretty bad. While the beds were made and appeared clean, the carpet and chairs had stains, the sliding door to the balcony did not lock, and the ceiling had water stains and black growth which I can only assume is mold. We tried to talk ourselves into staying for about 5 minutes, but we were so uncomfortable just standing in the room that we had no choice but to immediately check out. The man at the front desk seemed surprised by our complaints, but admitted we were not the first to have checked out within 10 minutes of check-in. Another couple had a reservation for the second night of our would-be stay, but canceled after we reported back to them the condition of the hotel. Now the hotel is refusing to refund their stay despite the unclean and unsafe conditions. Really awful experience all around. Please don't believe the positive reviews.

Pretty good place
The people were nice. The building was still being remodeled so the pool was closed. Our room seemed to be one that was newly remodeled and it was nice. Wish there had been chairs to sit on the balcony, but overall it was a good stay. We only stayed a couple nights as a short getaway.

Poor quality
Overall terrible experience. Pool was closed. Construction on the floor above us started at 8am on our first day. Was dirty, visible dust, uncomfortable beds. Not at all worth it even though it was already super cheap. We left after one night.

This place was better than expected. Pet friendly. Perfect location - close to all the fun stuff. No issues. Yes, they are given my this hotel some updated and love. It's not the Ritz but it worked just fine for us.
