We booked a non refundable night at Golden Eagle, in Doris, Oregon through Hotels.com. We were driving with minimal internet service and counting on that room midway on a long 2day drive. With confirmation number in had we arrived around 9:00 pm to an unfriendly, unhelpful desk person and no room available. At that time of night no other rooms were available within hours of driving. Very weary and unhappy. Would recommend always calling ahead to confirm, at the actual hotel, any reservation with any hotels.com.

Comfortable place with false advertisement
This motel was very comfortable and quite. They are in the process of updating it. Paint, interior and exterior. My complaint is they advised breakfast included. There is no breakfast, not even coffee. This is a pet friendly place, but they advertise $5 extra per pet but was told it was $15 when I arrived. I would stay here again but disappointed with the false advertisement of breakfast and pet fees.

This motel was convenient for where I needed to be, but it is a very small town, and many things closed at 5-6pm, so I had to drive to another town to get food in the evening. The motel claims to be non-smoking, but people were smoking marijana in the room next door to a friend who was also staying here. My room smelled of cigarrette smoke which was disappointing. There was not coffee or breakfast provided, as it said there would be. The older woman who checked me in around 7pm was sweet, and friendly, however, the next day when I tried to get help with the wifi password, the man who was working was very short with me, and seemed bothered and annoyed that I asked for help. I am on the fence if I would stay at this place again or not, if in a bind, but I would not recommend it to anyone.

Horrible. They cancelled our reservation without saying a word to us. They would not interact. Just handed us a voided transaction. I assume they were upset we wanted to see the room before signing. The worst service I’ve received at any form of lodging on three continents.

After driving 800 miles for the day, we needed a bed to rest. This place had that, but not much else. Definitely not even close to the $120/night they charged. A more fair price would have been about $50. There are no real eating choices in this town so, hopefully, you brought food with you.
