Should be condemned!
First off, it's not a great area, but to make matters worse, the hotel was a run-down disaster with terrible staff. It should really be closed. The pool is disgusting and green (but the staff says it's not a problem because they don't advertise a pool - but it's gross to stay at a hotel with a big green algae-infested, neglected pool right outside my room.) Furthermore, the "air conditioning" system is a JOKE. The owner tried to justify it, but it blew hot air more than cold. I sweat all night and couldn't sleep. When I brought concerns to the owner, she acted like she didn't believe me and then eventually conceded that "it is what it is" which is BY FAR the worst example of customer service I have ever encountered. STAY AWAY!

Convenient location but run down, cockroaches in the bathroom, no microwave, and many of the rooms seem to be rented long term to questionable people.

It is very nice to be able to stay in a "vintage" Rt. 66 motel that is clean and well taken care of. The only thing negative was that it was difficult to get the key to unlock the door.

Worth the stay! Needs some polish tho
The room was very nice to the eye. There were two dead bugs in the tub so that's a small minus. The biggest negative I would say is the TV image/signal was constantly going out. The bed tho was SOOOOO COMFY! The location is perfect for walking central avenue. I will definitely be making reservations again soon with Hiway. See you there!
