This is a great hotel to visit for Hakone and it's onsens/ hot springs. I highly recommend staying with this hotel. Staff is beyond kind and accommodating. There is a French restaurant with a once in a lifetime view and food courses that I would recommend splurging on. Great stay.

2/10 Poor

The rooms were large closet size, the hotel was extremely outdated and there was no transportation to the lake. There might have been some practice golf at a driving range but no golfing. The hot springs were down due to the typhoon. Basically there was nothing to do and we were stuck...Staff spoke LIMITED English and there was one dining room for bus crowds and a few Japanese groups. The view of the mountains was fantastic...

6/10 Good

The hotel is located 800 meter from nearest bus station, not a big deal but if you have to push 3 trollies up hill it doesn't make a great holiday start. The buffet is very expensive so make sure it is included in reservation because there is not much around apart from a 7 eleven so you end up paying 70USD per person for a standard dinner buffet.
