Where do I begin? When we first got there, we were told new owners, new management. That being said, it was kinda run down but had potential. Really liked the place at first because of its location, size. My wife an I went to get showers that evening. Dirty, Old towels. Went to use kitchen utensils, 3 spoons and a knife. The tray that held them was dirty. The ice bucket to get ice in was broken and had dead Bugs in it. Hotels.com sent a check In survey. I let my opinions be known. The next day we went to Disney for the day. Left at 9am came back at 11pm. Got a call on my cell from the Cove Motel. No message. When we returned, we noticed the bed was made, certain things were changed. Same dirty ice bucket though. My wife checked her purse where she had securely left it. She had money in two different parts. Not only did the person “clean” the bathroom, that person cleaned out her wallet. All but $1 was taken. My wife is very meticulous in keeping track of things, to the Penny. We weren’t staying another night. The next morning we packed up and called the police to make a report. Police came, hotel denied any wrong doing. Manager said this had never happened before. Officer questioned the manager if she knew the same thing happened 2 weeks before. She said she didn’t know. Officer explained she owed us a refund on nights not stayed and we did get the money back that was stolen. “If it’s discounted, there’s a reason”. If you like your stuff, I wouldn’t stay here.
