6/10 Good

Overpriced, old hotel, nice view of Mount Fuji
Disappointing for the price (even with my silver membership saving) we felt the suite wasn’t particularly impressive for the cost! We only booked this room as a birthday treat for my mother, as we all wanted to be together. A complimentary breakfast should have either been included or offered at half price! We were a group of five and were charged per person! The hotel is old and needs modernisation, both the communal baths are small and become overcrowded! The breakfast buffet selection isn’t particularly inspiring and is also overpriced! The only saving grace was the fantastic view of Mount Fuji! I doubt I’d stay here again!

Older hotel that needs modernisation, good service
The hotel is located up a long windy road which took 4 minutes to cover, it’s an older hotel which needs modernising, although comfortable it has a “Showa era” attached to it with furnishings from the 1970’s! The service good and the room was adequate but not really worth the high price! I would stay there again as the two onsens were nice as were the two saunas! The breakfast is a bit costly at ¥2400 for a standard buffet style.

Gem views
I enjoyed our stay. The rooms were small however for 3 of us we were comfortable. The building could use some updating from the harsh winters. The view from our window overlooked the lake and Mt Fuji which was a spectacular site. There is a small convenience store and beer vending machines. There are 2 onsens on 2 different floors. They looked very nice. Hot and cold bathe water with a steam shower and sauna. The hotel supplies you with a Japanese robe and slippers. Razors, shower caps, toothbrushes, hair ties, etc. are also included in your room. Outside garden was nice as well and it looked like they have weddings there. Dinner is a bit pricey. Staff was extremely courteous and spoke English as well.

Great hotel. Very clean. The hot spring was nice and warm and you can see Fuji if there's no clouds. A little confusing on how to get to the hot spring from one side of the hotel to the next. Also, if you don't book dinner beforehand you might not be able to get to eat in one of the restaurants if you try to book on the day of.
