Very rustic hotel
Must take tricycle from dock to hotel. Not good roads. No free breakfast. Other foods a little expensive plus 10% service charge. No free amenities in room or bathroom. Several brown outs at night. Have generator but no AC during brown out. In room AC poor. Not enough lights in room at night. Hot shower is good but flow is slow. No TV and no internet connection in room. No fridge in room. Grounds are well kept but many mosquitoes. Location is perfect on fish sancturay but no stores or restaurants near. Very nice Dive Shop next to property. Beautiful water and great exploring during low tide. Kind and caring staff but must ask for needs.

Olango Island is quite isolated in terms of water and electricity. Therefore so is Talima resort. But what it does have is excellent, helpful staff, a nice pool, and very clean and well taken care of grounds. It is beautiful, quiet, and safe..

Great Escape!
We loved it - spur of the moment trip with the family escaping yet another Lapu Lapu brown-out - wonderful staff, good food and we all loved the pool. No beach at all, just slippery steps taking you down to rocky bottom - be careful if the tide is out - the bottom steps are VERY slippery. In spite of the bruises, we'll be back.

Perfect relaxation
We just loved Talima resort, it was relaxing and calm. The staff was friendly, helpfull and lovely. The cottage that we stayed in was exactly as promised and we han an excellent stay, enjoying the sun, the pool and diving. Perfect getaway.

Beautiful Location
What a beautiful location for a local Philippine Resort, but bring a lot of change.... We traveled from the airport via taxi to the Hilton Pier (Yellow Taxi P70, White Taxi P40 flag down rate, P120 meter rate to pier, P10 Vehicle Entry Fee to Pier, P15 ferry each, P5 Terminal Fee each) The ferry ride was about 30 minutes to the island. (Having family on the island they told us P20 to Talima from pier via tricycle, but Foreigner rate is P150) The resort was a lot to offer in natural beauty, but not enough room to post the hundred of pictures we took. We spent hours in the water and on the tidal flats (No Sand Beach) looking at starfish, corals, crabs, fish and other stuff. We watched the sunset and sunrise and enjoyed the home cooked food. The selection of foods were great. The room was comfortable and the A/C worked well. Only big problem, I do not think the electrical outlet in the shower for the water heater is up to code, was shocked several times taking a shower.

Relaxing Time at Talima
Liked the quiet, peaceful setting at Talima Resort. The pool was great! The food was good and the dining room staff very helpful and courteous. The Dive Service next door was wonderful!. The dive guide and boat staff were very solicitious and made sure we were safe and satisfied/happy. Mokie was a great dive guide and showed us some really cool stuff! Used the Dive Center's banca for the ride over to Talima from Mactan Island and for return; it was great and well worth the price! The boat guys were great taking our bags ashore at low tide and upon our return took our bags right to the steps of our lodging on Mactan. I want to go back next year and spend more time at Talima Resort and diving with Mokie Dive Center.

Peaceful, quite and relaxing
Arrived and it was small place but peaceful. Not much of a beach but did have nice swimming pool. The cottage was cozy and aircon. worked well. The rooms were clean and CR was big and spacious. Not much to do other then sit and relax in the hammock with the sea breeze. Good place to go for peace and quite but one day is enough as just not enough to do. I would go again.
