Only issues was the battery operated door pad died so we had to wait an hour outside our room for maintenance to come and replace the door pad with a new battery pack. Other wise front desk, security and maintenance Handel the situation with grace. Thank you again

Great family friendly resort
The resort had 2 great pools, friendly service from everyone we encountered, and a convenient shuttle service to the resort. Our only complaint was the food service options, just cafeteria style food that was quite expensive. I understand the format with lots of families at the resort. We just would have liked a full service dining option on premise. However, we just took the shuttle to the Universal City Walk and had plenty of dining options there.

Retro motel w wonderful pools
Fun location - great amenities. Great area. The hotel has resort amenities like the pool / lazy river / lots of entertainment / big gift shop. The rooms themselves are more like motel rooms - external doors like a motel. Shared laundry rooms on first floor. No room service. The food is very reasonably priced - lunch at the pool is probably a third of what you would expect at a theme park resort. If doing the lazy river you have to pay for your floats.
