We were upgraded and enjoyed our spacious suite. Gotta Love stairs - but that is true of anywhere with a view in Santorini!
The room and view was beautiful, the breakfast perfect and lovely touches like the toiletries but what makes this really special is the front desk service. Christina and Sarah are amongst the best service I've had anywhere - they were amazing and recommending and arranging things with Sarah in particular going way above and beyond at advising us and booking a ferry when our flights got cancelled.
The hotel is located within Fira on the slopes of the Caldera. Room 12 was perfect with a jacuzzi and a decent terrace where you could enjoy breakfast and great drinks at sunset. The staff were really lovely and want to say many thanks for making our stay a long lasting rememberable experience.
Porto Fora Suites is a beautiful place to stay with beautiful views. The service was excellent from reception to the cleaning staff. My only comment is that our room looked slightly different than the pictures when booking online. Our room was still beautiful, but the balcony with the hot tub was slightly smaller than the one in the picture. But again, I would highly recommend this hotel.
The jets for the hot tub were finicky, and the flusher button for the toilet kept falling back into the space behind the button. Other than those things, the stay was great. The room and views, the service, the breakfast - all excellent. We also got a fantastic price for the duration of our stay, in the off season. Would definitely recommend.
perfect!! fantastic view... clean, cosy and comfortable room for the junior suite
Location was amazing, right off the cliff overlooking the ocean and the town, but during the winter, sunset is not visible. For fancy four star suites, it also lacks some of the essential amenities like complimentary water and coffee/tea for the duration of the stay, especially when tap water is not potable. The patio and furniture could be better cleaned (i.e. caked on bird poop), and some of the indoor furniture could be better maintained (i.e. chipped cabinet paints and loose hinges). Despite it all, the location in a cave dwelling was beautiful.
Excellent service from Bianca, Olga and all the staff. Spectacular views of the sea and islands from the rooms. Comfortable and beautifully decorated.
Staff was very friendly and approachable. Quite a bit of stairs to climb up and down. Not recommended for really old people or those with leg injuries etc
We stayed in the Suite during low season, therefore at reduced rate. We had a lovely stay, however it was disappointing in many ways given the price. Maybe that's Santorini. Most terraces have little privacy, and it is really hard to figure out from the photos which do and which don't. Spoiler: the Suite does not. The pool is beautiful and the breakfast is plentiful.
