It was just perfect vacation. Hotel located 2 minutes of walk from train station. The staff was very kind and breakfast was excellent. Hotel is in the Main Street and lots of good restaurants and shopping. I truly enjoyed staying at this hotel and loved Swiss hospitality Hotel has also one of the best sauna facility.

Great hotel stay!
I recently stayed at the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. I was traveling in Switzerland for a few weeks and found this hotel to have the most comfortable bed. The staff was friendly. It was warm outside and there is no AC. Ask for a fan, which worked out perfectly. The breakfast buffet was good. Location is outstanding - 5 min walk to train station. The only negative is the outside music played. It was warm so you have to keep your window open. The music plays from 12-6 daily. I did not find this to be relaxing at all. Maybe ask for a street facing view if you want to avoid the music.

The Schweiterhof lobby is a short walk from the train station. The hotel is convenient to the shops and restaurants , and even the Coop store. The train to the ski lifts is a short walk or taxi ride. The reception staff are warm and helpful, making their guests feel at home. The spa is excellent and an enjoyable break. There are excellent restaurants on site, including fondue at the Cheese Factory. Rooms are first class with comfortable bedding and amenities. It’s a great location to stay in Zermatt!

Overall a wonderful experience
Overall, the Schweizerhof is a wonderful hotel and experience. The staff is excellent, my top floor room was very well appointed, and the breakfast is truly superior. Areas that can be improved include the dinner menu and wifi. The dinner menu is not bad by any means, but I would have liked to see some higher end culinary selections to match their excellent wine selection (e.g. Masseto and Chateau Margaux). The open wifi scheme (i.e. no login) that too many hotels are now adopting was particularly frustrating on both phones which would disconnect without reason and sometimes no "sign-in" indicator leading to even more frustration. On a final note, my room was close to the elevator shaft that is somewhat noisy, so I recommend asking for a room away from that end of the hotel. To be clear after some negative comments, this is an Excellent hotel I would recommend to anyone.

Amazing location
Beautiful hotel in an ideal location. Recently updated, both the room and public spaces were modern and extremely clean. Gym is adequate for a hotel stay and the included breakfast is fantastic. Great service all around. Location is 2 minutes from the train station so easy to carry bags. Highly recommended.
