Old hotel
We forwarded a message to the property that we would be coming in on 10:00 flight to PGD. They still called to ask if we were coming. ? (Check your email!) Also, room was way overpriced for a basic 1970’s motel room. The light pollution was awful - need to address drapery issues. Gentleman checking us in was pleasant. FYI No one attends the desk after 11pm so if you’re on that late flight and coming in late, this Mom & Pop may not be available when you arrive.

Unfortunately we were unable to stay here. Expedia / Knights Inn let me book the property even though they were completely without power and all utilities. Other properties in the area, 4 star properties, let me know this prior to making reservations.

Only stay here if you must
Made reservations for 2 rooms next to each other but when we checked in they were 3 rooms apart. We evacuated to the hotel to avoid the hurricane. No or minimal prep was done to the property in advance of the storm. Flying debris from the storm scratched up my car. Had to ask for soap, towels and toilet paper. Rooms and refrigerators were hot- set to minimum upon arrival. Check-in and check out rude and uncomfortable. I get that everyone went through something but guests should be made to feel welcome regardless.

Checkin person was rude and unprofessional. Claimed the credit card showing on reservation did not match. I had emails and confirmation information. He did not care. We had to put 2 credit cards on file to complete the booking of the room. Wanted blankets (room only had sheets and cover on beds. Checkin person said no blankets (all in laundry) "its Florida noone needs blankets". Room was not good hot smelly and found dirty sock along bed. Bathtub plug did not work. We were not looking for 5 star just a place to sleep after driving all day. This place and service not acceptable.
