Very uncomfortable beds...
Frequent visitors to Greece will recognize several common and recurring problems in Greek tourist 2/3-star hotels. Small bathrooms, noise from other rooms and hard mattresses. While the first two issues were not a problem in this hotel, the beds were beyond uncomfortable. IF YOU ARE A SIDE SLEEPER< JUST SAY NO, to this one. This is a shame, as in fact the location is pretty good, and the bathrooms are very nice for a Greek tourist hotel. Yes, the pool looks charming in photos, but the hotel is only a few blocks from an excellent beach and no one used the pool at all during my stay. I complained of the hard mattress and they had housekeeping add a small foam pad, which only helped marginally, at best. They looked at us funny for even making the complaint, though from their quick response, it was clear they had had similar complaints before. In fact, it was so bad I actually checked out a night early and just ate the lost night expense. Overall, in a pinch, you may want to book for a night or two, but for any longer stay I (and my poor back) do not recommend.

Iliovasilema is a gem of a hotel wonderfully situated in Naxos town. The hotel is family run and managed with lots of love and care. We really enjoyed our stay thanks to Maria at the front desk who was very kind and extremely helpful. She guided us to the top restaurants, bars, and beaches around the island. The hotel is perfectly located for walking through the entire town. We were able to easily walk to anywhere we wanted to go. The rooms were clean and well maintained and the pool area is lovely when you are not out exploring the island. I also loved relaxing on the second floor sitting area around sunset when everything was still and quiet. There is free parking right around the corner from the hotel which is a huge perk considering how difficult it would be to park in town otherwise. I would stay here again when traveling to Naxos. Thanks for a great stay!

Value for money. Not luxury but sufficient for the price you pay. Room without balcony is ground floor next to the road, get the balcony and be higher up. Staff were friendly. Location, close to the beach, restaurants and grocery stores. Best part was the pool, 2.8m deep nice and cool. Kids and I loved it.

Great experience overall
Very good experience overall. Hotel is in a quiet but convenient area near the beach. It is very clean and the pool area is very nice. The staff were all courteous and accommodating. When an issue came up about extra costs to use the sauna/spa amenities (which was not correctly listed on hotels.com) the hotel was nice enough to let us to use them without charge. Would recommend.
