Excellent location, small but comfortable room with coffee, tea and breads. No breakfast.

This b&b is right in the heart of Manarola--wonderful location! We loved the balcony overlooking the busy pedestrian traffic. Even though breakfast wasn't included, we found our way up the street to Aristides which serves awesome omelets.

Our room was right next to the train line and we had to hear and feel the sounds of every train that went by day and night. We also heard every person walk by the small window at street level. There was no door to get outside from our room and it felt like a dungeon. In addition the door to the shower did not close well and the entire bathroom and into the room and my bag was completely flooded. What was particularly disappointing is that we asked about the train noise before coming and we’re told it’s not a problem and even when we checked in asked if it was quiet and we’re told yes. The check in and check out process was disappointing and they were waiting with a cleaning bucket outside our room at checkout time. They probably do have some nice rooms but unless you know what you are getting, I highly recommend you choose something else.

We loved the Marina apartment, it was perfect for our group of 5. We appreciated the little extra room with the sitting area and the kitchen. The location was a little noisy, as it was on the main street. However, we loved the location. Easy to come and go, and lots of great places nearby.

Staff was super friendly. I wasn’t a fan of climbing 55 steps to reach the apartment. Also, the WiFi wasn’t working during our stay.

Stayed in the the terrace apartment for three nights, we were not in the "hotel" building. This apartment was an excellent place to stay. For the price, you cant go wrong here. The tile floors a very nice as is the woodwork and doors etc. Its a nice apartment and very easy to relax there. It was just two of us so we used the larger bedroom to sleep in and the other just to put bags ect. We are both Americans and are used to seeing a lot of 'big' people back home. If you fit into that category, you may not like the bathroom in the apartment. The entry to the shower is somewhat small and would be tough for an overweight person to enjoy. The terrace is large and really nice to hang out on. Very close to the water and a short walk to the trains. The kitchenette is small compared to US standards but works very well to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner. We took the 10-15 minute train ride to La Spezia then walked another 10 minutes to the open air food market where you can buy all sorts of local produce (amazingly low prices for such great fresh food) to bring back and make your own meals. Lorenza was there at the office and greeted us when we arrived in Manarola. She was very welcoming and had lots of information about the Cinque Terre area trails and towns. My wife and I both think that Manarola is the best of the villages if you want laid back and clean. The water is fantastic too If I ever go back to Cinque Terre, I will stay at this place again for sure.
