Overall ok
As with most hotels after the pandemic they are still finding their way with some of the maintenance. We enjoyed our time there 5 nights Pool staff should not allow people to claim sun lounges at 7am with towels only to not return until hours later (including one group of four that consistently turned up late afternoon) I assumed money changed hands as when others tried to use these they were moved on by the pool boys. The food from the deck bar whilst watching the sunset is very ordinary but staff and music were good. Overall I’d stay there again, however if you are a Hotels.com VIP don’t expect the upgrade even though published and rooms available the hotel doesn’t recognise the scheme.

Pleasant stay in Kuta
We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The staff were polite and corteous, amazing hospitality. Our room was big and had a nice view. The hotel is also very near the airport. Only 10 to 15minutes away

Great location/ amenities but room disappointed
This hotel is convenientlylocated within walking distance to Kuta public beach and Waterbom. We enjoyed a day at the Waterbom and my kids really enjoyed swimming in the ocean waves at Kuta. The turtle releases at Kuta beach were a neat surprise. In terms of the hotel itself, the swimming pools are fabulous and my 12YO enjoyed the giant chess board outside. Breakfast was better than I expected. Some of the hot dishes did not seem fresh, but I enjoyed the omelets from the cook-to-order egg station. The most disappointing aspect of the Discovery hotel was the room itself. We had a suite on the 3rd floor. There were many issues - the room needs an overhaul. While the beds and couch were comfortable, and I liked the spacious bathroom sink, the light switches and outlets were placed in really odd locations. No outlets were located near the night stands and we had to charge phones away from the beds. No alarm clocks were provided either. The blinds did not close, so whoever slept in the twin beds was woken up at the crack of dawn by bright sunlight. The glass doors to the balcony did not shut properly, so we had to keep the outer doors closed permanently. The water hose near the toilet leaked. There was no light above the desk and it was so dark it was useless. Finally, some of the outlets did not work properly. We had to prop our white noise machine on a trash can so the adapter would stay plugged. In all, great amenities and location but hotel interior needs work.

Not Recommended
Disgusting hotel. It shall not be considered as 5 stars hotels. Bad services and rude staff especially at the restaurant. Rooms need major maintenance and upgrades. Bed sheets are not clean. Majority of sinks at bathrooms are flooded. Not worth it at all and will never come back here again. I was really shocked with this level as i stayed in different 5 stars hotels around Bali and this one was the worst. Also, we found gecko inside the room which ruined our day. I was lucky to stay only 2 nights not more.
