Nice, but could’ve been better
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Gold Suites. The location was great and our particular suite offered us a lot of privacy, which isn’t easily guaranteed given the topography of the area. The views of the caldera are stunning and the property connects directly to the pedestrian path that runs from Fira to Oia. That said, there were some things we didn’t love so much, particularly given the $600/night price tag. Reception wasn’t very helpful; WiFi was often spotty; no bath mats were provided for the shower. The breakfast was good, but they utilize a delivery slot time system and bring your order to the room. If your preferred time slot on a given day is not available, then you may be left having breakfast at odd times. When we politely requested some more drinking water, they were oddly very reluctant. Lastly, the “hot” tub was more of a “warm” tub, and when we asked about increasing the temperature, we got the runaround and it never happened.

I am so excited to review this property. My husband and I came for our 20 yr anniversary and the honeymoon we never had. I read the reviews of so many Santorini hotels and settled here. It was Worth it! The view was breathtaking and the staff was great! We had the room with the semi-private balcony overlooking the Santorini Caldera, a full spread hand picked breakfast on the balcony every morning. The staff was wonderful on providing suggestions and setting up transportation for us. Santorini owes me nothing! It was so worth the money we spent. The room was spacious and restaurants/ local markets all in walking distance. You’ll love the location if you are a couple. It’s quiet and perfect for a romantic getaway or honeymoon.

We loved our stay at Gold Suites. The staff was very hospitable and helped us with our ATV booking and gave us great recommendations. We stayed in the superior suite with jacuzzi and a caldera view. Would highly recommend this room! We enjoyed the sunset from here and had delicious breakfast setup on our patio each morning. Housekeeping came each day and left the place spotless. We were glad to stay in Imerovigli since it was really quiet and less crowded. You can walk 20 mins to Fira or rent an ATV and go around the whole island.

Perfect location and you can view the sunset right from your room. It’s a small hotel and the layout is very nice. Our room had a large balcony with a jacuzzi. It was very private. Cleanliness in the bathroom is a huge concern with this place. The shower had about an inch of mold at the bottom up the walls. It had a very bad smell. All the floors in the room were also dirty. They seemed to be swept between guests and not actually moped. Our feet got dirty when walking on them. I’d only recommend staying here if they fixed the cleaning problem. For the price you pay, this place should be spotless.
