This is a wonderful Hotel within Ravello. We stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon and it was astonishing. We stayed in one of the newly renovated villas and the view from the room was great as you could see the sea and the mountains from the balcony. The room had a giant jacuzzi that four people could easily fit into. Deborah who was working at the front desk of the hotel at the time was wonderful and helped us with every need and question we had while we stayed there. If you are visiting and also need transportation request a driver from Ravello named Rosario (He works with the hotel) who was wonderful as well and took us to Pompeii and even waited for us there during our visit. The city of Ravello if truly a gem of the Amalfi Coast and I would definitely considered revisting this hotel if given the opportunity.

The staff were very helpful and loved the hotel and were very proud of it's history. The location and the vistas, gardens etc were superb. I love old hotels that are steeped in history and gently show their age. I will definetly revisit .

Spotless! Quiet! Updates needed, but as expected for a facility of this age. Would go back again and stay.

Fabulous views, breakfast great, but the bldg. is getting tired and an updated room was quite small and the bathroom adequate.

Beautiful, historic property with incredible views, chic décor, friendly service, and a peaceful atmosphere. Overall a lovely place to stay; we requested the 'historic' rooms vs. the hotel's more modern rooms because we wanted the charm and character associated with these types of rooms. We were unexpectedly upgraded to our a junior suite with a sitting room and incredible views. While the room itself was beautiful to look at, the air conditioning strength could be improved -- although I'm sure this is rarely an issue and we stayed during the absolute hottest days of the year. The bathroom was a bit dated and shower a bit tight, but otherwise it was a beautiful room with a lot of character. The hotel staff were very pleasant and nice, but service at the bar could occasionally be a bit faster and more attentive. One night, it took a while to get a drink, while on another night, we were given a beautiful complimentary plate of hors d'oeuvres along with our cocktails. Parking is a bit pricey at 25 euro per night and should probably just be included in the rate. The breakfast food was of good/average quality, with gorgeous views overlooking the mountains and sea.

Fair
Moldy and damp experience
Paid abt. $1000 for a two day stay and expected the hotel and hotelroom to be outstanding. We were put in the basement of the hotel with no view, on top of this the room smelled of mold and was extremely damp and uncomfortable. The airconditioning, if it can be called that, just spewed more mold into the room. Hotel itself was beautiful and with great breakfast views but overall we felt a little scammed when we left since we had paid a good amount of money for what we hoped was an exceptional hotel experience. If you stay here make absolutely sure you get a room on the higher floors.
