Loved the staff, didn't love the ants
Pros: Amazing staff! Everyone (front desk, shuttle drivers, cleaning staff) was super friendly, helpful, and just pleasant to interact with. Great location - close to the airport and within walking distance of food. You do hear planes passing over in the morning, but its very brief. Area felt safe. I always appreciate when hotels have refillable bath products instead of the single use little bottles & soap bars. Bathroom felt very clean. Pros: Ants!!! There were ants in the bathroom, on the carpet, and even crawling on the bed. They have free internet but its so bad (weak, slow) there were times we couldn't even connect. Walls are dirty and scuffed. Stains on the carpet. Turned on the heat in the morning and the unit smelled so bad we turned it off right away.

Beware
Kids and I got bit we just thought mosquitoes got us while we were out for dinner. Morning of check out while in bathroom found bugs in shower flying around. Took pics and video and showed it to check out girl. She took my name and number and said she would get room sprayed down. On way home hand began swelling from bites. Hotel never reached out called 3 times and left messages and nothing. Finally called corporate after 3 weeks. First they said I never advise hotel of issue so I sent them video, photos and call log from phone. Then they said management tried to contact me and offered 5000 points. After month of no contact and basically being called liar I asked for refund to which I was told no.

Very Disappointing
The hotel said the check in time was 3pm. We had two rooms and only one of them were done. The other one, we had to keep checking until it was done around 630pm. There was a concert in town and every hotel was packed and this one only had one person working at the front desk. Then, the night before we got there, three cars had their windows broken out in the parking lot. The hotel had no video of the parking lot. The rooms smelled like weed and the A/C didn’t work. Holiday Inn Express is usually a reliable hotel but I’ll never go again.
