Nice, clean hotel in unbeatable location
Hotel Torbrau was a great place for our short stay in Munich. It was in easy walking distance to everything we wanted and had time to see - Hofbrauhaus, Glockenspiel, Shirker's Alley... The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Minor complaints: the walls are fairly thin - we could hear outside noises and what the neighbors were up to, although not enough to keep us awake. Also, the shower didn't drain very well and the water temperature was inconsistent - although both were bearable. Our blow dryer didn't work well, but with one call to the front desk a new one was quickly delivered. I highly recommend this hotel for a short or long stay in Munich, and I hope to return myself someday soon.

The rooms at Torbrau are very modern and up to date. They may seem a bit small to some but were fully adequate for our needs (2 pax). The staff at Torbrau deserve special praise and that includes front desk personnel, dining room personnel, and cleaning staff. They are one of the most friendly and helpful we have met in 60 years of traveling. That in its own right makes staying at Torbrau a great experience.
