The hotel is a like a small chateau with a large park near Nivillac in Morbihan. It has another building with several rooms a short walk from the main building. Our room was basic 3 stars but with good amenities, a large bathroom with a bathtub, a very nice four poster double bed (lit a baldaquin in french), a TV, but was a bit short on drawers and didnt have a safe. The hotel is set in a lovely park with century old trees, bits of forest for walks and its own vegetable patch. It has a small swimming pool with sun lounges, and decks of chairs. There are tables for reading or relaxation scattered across the domaine. What makes the stay highly enjoyable is not just the setting, but mainly the good character of the owners/managers, a couple with a 3 year-old daughter. They both look very well after guests, and should be consulted for tour recommendations. They have also adapted the restaurant's catering for children's palates as well.
The hotel restaurant serves a decent typical french breakfast with fresh viennoiseries, fresh bread, good choice of jams, fruits juice or hot drinks, and offers various types of cereals. The evening dinner menu is good and relatively cheap at EUR30 per person for a 3 course meal menu. After 4 nights the menu can seem a bit samey, however, I managed to eat a different meal each evening as new items were added. We ate very well. The clientele is by and large international
