The room we received was great! A back corner room which was slightly bigger with a window and a balcony. The room didn’t have air conditioning but wasn’t an issue and we were staying in September and the temps were mid 20’s and cooled at night. Hotel is in a good location to walk to everything we needed and very close to the west train station. The only negatives would be the beds and smoke/noise. The beds were 2 singles (?) put together and squeaked quite a bit when rolling over. The other negative was that there are a couple of pubs below the hotel and the noise and cigarette smoke always found a way in through the balcony doors or windows. This would happen until about 2-3 AM. So it was nice to cool the room down during sleeping but loud and smelt like cigarette smoke. To avoid, take a room on the front of the hotel. Other than that, breakfast buffet was good and really enjoyed our 2 night stay!

The view from our hotel window, facing the Interlaken West station was just amazing, our room had a balcony and it was relaxing waking up every morning to sit & watch the sunrise, the view also used to show us skydiving chute floot from up the mountains to the fields landing area. The hotel is between 2 streams, which were used for fishing by the locals. 5 Star view will come back again to this property.

I OBSERVE THAT MOST HOTELS ARE OLD BUILDINGS, AND THAT IS OKAY. ONLY PROBLEM IS SUCKETS; LITTLE BIT OLD STYLE. UPDATE AS WE ARE ON 21ST CENTURY. THEY REALLY HAVE TO CLEAN BETTER. I FOUND LITTLE BROWN ANTS CRAWLING ON BEDSHEETS. WHAT IF THOSE ARE TICKS..AYAYAY!

Past glory
Looks great on the outside, and the location is definitely convenient, however be prepared for very dated rooms and comfort. In the room the heating was always on level scorching, which was not good. Shower was also not comfortable, felt like being sanded down!
