Lovely hotel, great location!
Loved the hotel and location. Very clean, great breakfast and nice staff. One minor issue, I specifically asked when checking in that they not bill me till I checked out so that I could split the bill with my friend and they did not do this. Also, when cleaning the room the cleaning staff would refresh wash cloths, etc that were left hanging. I would prefer that not happen to help the environment.

Fine hotel with breakfast buffet
Breakfast was nice but no european coffee machine. Eggs were dry or overdone but nice selection. Would like coffee machine in room instead of instant. No VIP upgrade or gift was provided. Must buy bottled water but were repeatedly told the tap water was fine. Seems like a bone of contention for Norwegians. In the middle of the theater district and easy walking to museums. Must see the Munch and the national art museum.

Lovely hotel with great breakfast & rooms. Also enjoyed the gym - is slightly small but was never very busy. Only negative would be there is not much in terms of wardrobe space - only some hangers behind the mirror which were hard to access due to where other furniture was placed so meant we ended up living out of suitcases.

A noisy weekend away
On arrival we were meet with renovation noise that was currently being carried out, the lovely bar area you see in the photograph alongside reception was boxed off and not there - this was disappointing. We had booked a standard double room and we were pleased with the size, the bathroom was small but ok, however on closer inspection it wasn’t the cleanest - grime on glasses - not great. But these are minor issues. For us, the street noise was awful, Trams, traffic and people shouting from the bar opposite - every noise you expect for a city, but being located on the second floor felt like you were living amongst it, the double glazing provided no soundproofing what so ever and at 2/3 am drove us mad! another issue was the room temperature was set at 23degrees - way too hot and no way of turning the temperature down - we kept our windows open when not in the room as a means of cooling things down! So all in all not a fabulous stay, the hotel had a great location and the breakfast was good. But personally I would not stay here again given the choice.

We initially stayed here at the beginning of our trip to Norway. We decided to rebook for the end of our trip too. Sadly the return trip was a bit disappointing. There's building work going on in the hotel and the room we were given was fine but it had coffee stains all over the bedside table and floor so hadn't really been cleaned that well. It's a shame as literally two weeks prior it was an altogether better experience. Hopefully just a blip on this occasion...

Arrived and found the property easily. We got a free upgrade when we checked in. Property clean and spacious. Well positioned for exploring Oslo on foot or by public transport. We liked the hotel so much we rebooked for the end of our stay prior to our flight home also.
