Rural farm on beautiful property close to hiking trails, including the AT, mountain biking & winter sports. A stones throw from Sugarloaf Ski Resort. Rooms spacious. Some with shared bathrooms. Excellent breakfast.

Comfortable and typical old New England Farmhouse, but with a few unique plumbing characteristics.

Owner was very personable and attentive. The breakfast was her own farm fresh eggs. The location is simply beautiful with walks around the extensive property. It was only a five minute walk into Kingfield.

6/10 Good

Nice place but privacy issues
Can't lock your room door which is my main complaint, I'm not comfortable with that.

Never go back, the check in was a little weird, the room was disappointing ( no AC , trash can doesn’t have any bags, sink was clogged, room too small. Definitely not what I expected. And after I did a check in review at Expedia, just before the breakfast she calls on us and said to go and have a breakfast in another place, because she is not feeding us, she told us, because she saw that I did the review ( and she didn’t like it)... can you believe that? I wish I can have part of my money back.

8/10 Very Good

We stayed here overnight to be closer to Farmington for our niece’s college graduation. Lisa was delightful, the breakfast was scrumptious, and the room was quite comfortable. (As other reviewers have mentioned, the bathroom is just outside of the room, but that didn’t bother us—though I might recommend that a lock be installed on the door. Even though we were seemingly the only guests on this night, and had no issues, I could see where it could cause concern if other guests were also staying at the time.) We arrived later than we’d originally planned, and Lisa had kindly left us very clear instructions about what we needed to do settle in. We not only enjoyed chatting with Lisa in the morning, but were tickled to be greeted warmly by the adorable four-legged hosts, as well. We only wish we could’ve been there early enough (or more than one night) to check out the barn bar! Definitely recommend staying here is you are looking for a peaceful, affordable, and quaint place to stay.
