20th Anniversary Trip
We really enjoyed our stay at Punta Cana Princess resort! We came with friends to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversaries. The water was absolutely the most beautiful blue green I have ever seen! There were plenty of shaded seats by the beach and seats by the pool. The grounds were kept immaculate- even the pool bathroom was constantly being cleaned! Felix was the bartender at Mare Nostrum - always kind and made the best margaritas! And Juana Iris at the Casabe buffet made us feel like VIP guests - she saved a table for us for every breakfast and lunch, knew each of our drink orders and had the cups set for us accordingly, and even left a decorative flower arrangement on the table for us to enjoy while eating. She really went above and beyond! The cons are few and fairly inconsequential: the smoke detector in our room had a bright flashing light that we couldn’t turn off, but it didn’t keep us awake. There really wasn’t anywhere to go but our room to escape the heat/find a/c, and even what was air conditioned was still on the warmer side and humid. The food was nothing to write home about, but it was adequate and we all came home with our fair share of extra pounds! We would highly recommend this place and would likely go again if given the opportunity.

The property was beautiful well kept and always being cleaned. We had the honeymoon suite and paid extra for it layout was nice. Our room was old furniture was barely functional draws didn’t open , door covering the refrigerator was not closing. When we arrived room was dirty and the sheets on the bed looked like they weren’t changed. I would not recommend this room

Really nice spot with amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Grounds and beach were lovely, with excellent shade structures and plenty of them. Food options were varied and the food I tried was mostly well-prepared. However, I was surprised at how run-down the rooms and furnishings were (I went in several, and they were all the same). Though the rooms have a pleasant look, the furnishings are very overdue for maintenance/ replacement, and many linens and upholstery had stains. Cleaning isn't very thorough -- walls had stains, tables and floors had dust, shower caulk stained, that sort of thing. Tablecloths in restaurants often as well. This shabbiness made it feel like a 3 star rather than 5 star hotel, though the property overall felt much higher quality, and public spaces were very well appointed. The staff they have work very hard, so it seems like maybe they just need more staff to keep up with these important details. But then maybe they would have to charge more, and I suspect their lower price point is one major attraction for a lot of guests. Overall, it was a very pleasant place to stay -- very pretty and with hard-working staff who made everyone feel welcome. An excellent value for the comparatively low price compared to many other resorts. But if you're looking for 5 star luxury, you'll have to look elsewhere.

Previously stayed at the Grand Bravado Princess. Upgraded to the platinum status and we were able to visit the other two princesses properties. Upgraded to the Punta Cana VIP package we were unable to visit any other property. The bars were constantly out of the top shelf liquor. Made multiple complaints to the front desk but the alcohol issue was poorly handled. Paid extra for 7 days VIP status only received 3 1/2 days of top shelf liquor. Waste of over $245 which the property will not refund. Rooms need a deep cleaning. Fan and lamps have not been dusted in a very long time. Minibar was a joke.
