Beautiful, modern, new hotel.
This was such a beautiful hotel. It looked brand new, from the outside, to the lobby, to the rooms. I loved the modern finishes, and the rooms felt like a spa! The location was great, too-- only a short 5-10 minute walk to the center of Inverness where all the restaurants, shops, and day tours leave from!

Too loud
The biggest problem with this hotel is the elevator, and looking back at the reviews, this seems to be an ongoing issue. One elevator was broken, so everyone needs to share the other one - the problem is that there are no stairs from the lobby. I requested a high floor but was put on the second floor. There is no soundproofing in this hotel, you will hear people in the hallway talking, people above you walking and doors closing all night. I think I only got three hours of sleep.

It was a so-so experience. We arrived at 8pm after a long journey. We requested a higher floor room when booked through Hotels.com, but ended up with a ground floor room with view of a big coach bus right outside the window. And we requested two pairs of slippers and no sign of it after 3 hours. Fortunately, we were able to move to a higher floor room the next day. Stains on the lamp shade and wall paper. And the room chairs are located right below the artic ceiling and we bumped our head badly.
