10/10 Exceptional

The front desk people were so friendly and helpful. My single room had a private terrace overlooking the sea! The internet was not very strong. The lobby was quite lively with older people playing card games. Rapallo has a lot of construction going on, so ask for a room not on the street side. Have a drink/meal at their seaside restaurant off the promenade. 6 minute walk to the train station and 5 minutes to the center, so an ideal location. Would definitely stay here again!

A Place to Avoid, At Least if You're Single
Great location, but terrible service and condition, at least in a cell-like single room. Furthermore, although there was a nation-wide rail strike making travel to Rapallo difficult and expensive, the hotel management refused a request to change the reservation until the strike was over or to cancel it. Very unreasonable!! In addition, I requested a quiet room and was given a cell-like chamber on a street with loud traffic, day and night. And the final blow were the mosquitoes buzzing above my bed!! I'm very allergic to insect bites and came away with a large mosquito bit on my forehead!!! A place to avoid....

Lovely seaside property. I had a quiet sea view room as requested. Staff were very helpful. Pastries and coffees at breakfast were delicious. I love your hotel and stayed with you 3 or 4 times already. Will definitely comeback next year. Keep up the good work 😊

Do not recommend
The only good thing about this hotel is the view and location. The most rude customer service we have ever experienced ( we’ve been to over 40 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels ) Out of 4 days , our room was cleaned only twice . When we complained , the answer was we’re a 3 star hotel madam… Italy is one of the tastiest destinations in the world whether you eat at a gas station or fancy restaurant . In this hotel food was overpriced and the worst in all of Italy .

reat location, basic amenities
The location of this hotel is perfect. Right next to the public beach which is nice as the hotel charges you €15 for a four hour session on their private area and you have to book it in advance. The staff were friendly and helpful on the whole. The kettle provided had a German plug and the hotel had no adapters for their kettles. Was told nowhere to get an adapter on a Sunday. Took me 10 minutes to find a shop and purchase one. Breakfast was overpriced at €15 per morning but adequate. The room was spotless, the bed very comfy but furnishings very basic. The shower pressure was good. Aircon as to be constantly reset as the minute you open the balcony door, it goes off. Aircon was very good in the +30 heat. Hall carpeting needs replacing. I would stay here again but only in a sea view balcony room and if I was traveling with a partner or friend, upgrade from standard double with sea view.

Awful & Racist /Front desk Service
This was an awful experience, Front desk team had so much attitude, limit mean and very unprofessional. My friends and I felt the weight of some sort of racism towards us. We upgraded to a room with a view... for an extra 60euros/night. The view was nice, but the room was old, with stains all the walls, most uncomfortable bed and linens. our shower head was broken, water from the rain entered our room in the middle of night. We reported all these issues and we were royally ignored. This was not a cheap hotel. We were so disappointed. we traveled for 22 days in France/Italy and this experience left us with a bitter taste.
