It's Not for me
We came to celebrate my friends 50th birthday. The pool parties are fun but it is a Covid spreading event. If you want to party this is the resort for you. If you want to relax do not come to this resort. The beach is beautiful to look at but not to relax. The waters are extremely rough and the locals are constantly trying to get you to buy something. The drinks are sugar and tequila so you will have a hangover. The food is just ok there is a great taco stand. The bed is very uncomfortable and the pillows are terrible. The service is great they work extremely hard and are very nice. Unfortunately I wouldn't stay here again but it is good for the spring breakers if they want to have a good time.

Would not stay here again.
Food in buffet was fair. Steak house was good. Views, pools and beach were beautiful. Service minimal but if you had problems or concerns they basically did not care. Bartenders were great. We had 3 rooms. One was i believe honeymoon suite. Beautiful but never got below 77 degrees in the room. Slept on floor under ceiling fan to be somewhat comfortable at night. Moved into one of our other rooms and asked for rollaway which they provided but was just a box spring. Problems with room keys constantly not working. They close pool at 8 which was fine but they started cleaning immediately and they took all shoes by pool and we never saw 2 pairs again.

Great family and parry resort
Just got back from our 6 day family (3 kids with us) vacation at the Rui. And we had an amazing time! The food in our opinion was delicious: fresh avocado, menudo, chilaquiles, great soups, seafood paella, however plan accordingly the restaurants do not do reservations and can fill up quickly Entertainment was fun, shows could have been a little better. Our kids loved the kids club, water area and water slides Cleanings was spot on there was always some staff cleaning something The views are great! Now for the partying, with the help of kids club we were able to enjoy the pool party and had a blast This is definitely a party resort and can get loud, we vacationed to get away from the ordinary and party so we did not mind if this is your vibe we highly recommend RIU!
