The Tahitian is a nice place to stay at a good rate. ITs an older hotel but still kept…

Disappointed. Room was clean, but not what we were led to believe. Site shows pictures of large rooms with kitchenette. We got 1 small room, shower only bathroom, mini fridge, and honestly bed seemed smaller then a queen. Had to wait until just before 5 to check in, and we weren't the only ones. Had to kill time to finally get room. Was shocked how small it was after looking at photos. The bathroom door stuck, it was a shower only, and we bought shower shoes as the tile looked gross. There is no exhaust fan in bathroom. The walls must've been thin, as we heard everything going on in rooms around us. Parking was horrendous. To the point we were afraid to leave as we wouldn't be able to park again. More rooms then parking spaces. The positive, since the room was awful, we weren't in it much, and enjoyed the beach, the sunsets, and shops.

The pool was freezing but not as cold as the shower. Was told that they are "working on repairs". If you cannot give quiet and enjoyment of facilities don't take the FULL price for stays. Jerks.

The property was very clean. The window air unit was fine for 80 degree winter weather but we would have been hot if it was the height of the summer. Desk staff could definitely be friendlier, but over all it was a good budget property. Location is excellent.

The staff went out of their way to help us anyway they could. When we arrived late Saturday night they moved their own vehicles so we would have a place to park, and were great with everything while we were there. The rooms are clean and remodeled, not fancy but functional. I would definitely stay there again, the location is great

The Tahitian is located on the beach and also directly on Gulf Blvd. The beach is wide here so there is a little hike to the water and only small parts of the ocean water can be seen from the hotel. Gulf Blvd is very noisy and you can hear road traffic from rooms and the pool. The pool was heated in December was was clean and nice. Some pool toys are provided. The sunning patio was nice equipped with lounge chairs and shuffleboard. Room furniture and kitchens have been recently updated but bathrooms are still older possibly from when the hotel was built in the 50s. We stayed in an apartment across the street. The apartments are between Gulf Blvd and a water channel. There are shuffleboard and lounge chairs at a little seating and fishing area right on the channel. This was a nice quiet space to have coffee in the morning. The Tahitian was an inexpensive alternative to some of the newer, nicer, more equipped motels/hotels in the area. The location was near restaurants and in walking distance of John's Pass and other shopping. We would return.

All of the staff went out of their way to help in any way they could. Everyone was so friendly. Hope someday they add a Tiki Bar. I will be back soon.

My stay was top to bottom excellent. The room was clean, updated and very stylish. The beds were VERY comfortable. In addition, the staff were the absolute friendliest staff I have ever encountered in a hotel. I will be staying here when I visit Treasure Island, for sure!!
