What kind of Eco village still uses plastic bottles for drinking water and doesn't ask you to re-use your towels? The only thing "eco" here is the economical use of good service . The staff are completely untrained. The girls at reception seem to have been hired for aesthetic reasons . The three who were behind the desk were more interested in their own conversation that helping a newly arrived guest and I finally got basic assistance from another guest because not one of the three had a word of English. Really? In a hotel that mainly caters to the busloads of American and European Tourists passing through. No English? At THESE prices? I paid more than $100 U.S. per night here (two nights) and I would say the most they should have charged was half that. Let us also discuss the food situation. Just as the girls at the desk are inefficient and unhelpful , their male counterparts add an air of indifference and solemn stupidity to the ambience. The kicker here is that the food on the menu is literally inedible. I sent my meal back and said "I won't pay for that" and sure enough he gave me a look like "oh, you're on to us?" and the bill was expunged . No concern what so ever about what was wrong with the food. They already knew !I am talking about rancid meat here, folks. Overall, this place should be avoided at all costs. I was told it was the best one could do in Xpuhil, but that surely cannot be true.

Cosy place in the middle of the countryside and good access to the Mayan ruins. The place is, however, worn down and needs a bit attention. The restaurant should have more local dishes (and not burgers and pasta). Swimming pool only had 3 sunbeds and then just normal chairs.

Very nice facility. Nice little pool. Restaurant was very good. Rooms were spare but certainly adequate and very clean. A nice common are to use WiFi or have drink would be nice. I used the restaurant but that is not convenient all the time.

Easy access from the main road and yet very independent and in the middle of the jungle feeling... very kind service... the hotel consists of 42 bedrooms in houses of 4 bedrooms (or less) each... don't expect a resort at the Bahamas... but it's a nice place to stay if you plan to relax and enjoy the archaeological sites of the area which are awesome: Hormiguero, Xpujil, Chicana, Becan, Balamkul and Calakmul...
