Great hotel. Good value for money. Staff were excellent. Rooms were comfortable, bathrooms were fairly modern and clean. Location is perfect, close enough to lively spots but seperated just enough to allow you a peaceful sleep. Restaurant food is absolutely fantastic, however not very clean. Tables appear to have never been cleaned beyond a light dusting. Roaches spotted on buffet table. That is often the case in India based on my experiences though so you generally just accept it and remain cautious when eating.

A great stay.
Check in was great. We were assigned 2rooms that were opposite each other, one had a pool view and one had the adjacent building wall view. We requested to move rooms to still be close together but for both rooms to have a pool view. This was easily accommodated. On changing rooms , my wife left some ear rings in the old room. House keeping quickly saw to it that she was reunited with them . Breakfast was good - plenty of choice. Quality was good. Only thing is they could have been a little quicker with the ‘special a la Carte’ orders. The wait was a bit too ok g. That’s my only suggestion/gripe. Apart from that, the hotel was great. Thanks we had a great time.

Best hotel in Delhi
This is our second time to stay at the Metropolitan Hotel. We have 3 bookings this month. It is our favorite hotel in Delhi. The staff is so friendly and so helpful. Special thanks to Rikit at reception and to Ashok of housekeeping. We enjoy interacting with them. They treat us like family. Location is perfect. It is right next to the Gole market so we had many oppotunities to buy silk fabric and sari's and have it tailored for just $5/trousers and $5/shirt. It is also within striking distance of several attractions. You can take a tuktuk or taxi to get to the major attractions as it is in a good location. The hotel is very clean and even smells good. I love their toiletries as it smells luxurious. The room size is perfect and is equipped with useful conveniences. Breakfast is really good. It is in a very safe area. We are out shopping til late night. There is a Catholic Church nearby so we get to hear Mass daily. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the biggest Sikh temple is Delhi is also within 5-min walk. We will always stay at the Metropolitan Hotel when in Delhi.
