Meh and eww
Hotel looked amazing. Lovely rooms, high standard. However our first morning we woke up freezing cold to the point we could see our breath. We notified staff who gave us an upgraded room and we would swap when we returned in the afternoon. We arrived back to be told they had already moved our belongings, to which we were pleasantly surprised by. However upon entering our fabulous new room, we discovered some of our belongings missing including a bag of snacks. Again down to reception where i waited about 30 minutes for someone to bring them to me. After receiving them i noticed most of the snacks were gone, empty or half eaten. No apology, no offer of replacement. The second morning we woke lovely and warm but this time to find both of us covered in bites and have since had to go to the gp as they are incredibly irritating and painful. The doctor counted between us we had 87 bites. Personally i wouldn't recommend as it would seem they have a bed bug issue

Hotel stay
The hotel was nicely done but poor up keep and maintenance meant the hotel had not aged well. A few maintenance things in our room like dirty / marked walls, broken toilet door handle. The walls were also very thin so a lot of neighbour noise.
The building smelt great throughout, some of reception staff were amazing and very helpful too. Great room service and presentation too.
Location was great and accessible.

This hotel really could be better if the room would have been clean on arrival an if the fire alarm wouldn't have went off once a day waking us up. I was told one of the customers had a toaster but not so believable since my room didnt even have a toaster. The refrigerator in the room didnt have power had to move to another power outlet to get refrigerator to even work. The doors are paper thin can hear everyone coughing and talking in the hallway. I wish the hotel the best and hope they read this an make improvements.

Not worth staying again
I recently stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. I had specifically requested them to clean our room before leaving for sight seeing - they said they clean rooms everyday but when we came back in the night, the room was as it. The standard rooms have no window - you can see the lobby area if you open the curtains resulting in no privacy. In terms of location, it’s not close to Amsterdam Central station. Can definitely find better hotels at this price.

The property look very nice and clean. The room was big and the bed was comfy. Very quite to sleep comfortable. The staff was not friendly, specially the guy that checked us in. I suggest everyone to look at the breakfast first before paying for it. Limited amount of selection and the croissant looked burned and when I bite into it, it was hard. The breakfast is 12.50 € per person. We end up walking to a near by Expresso Bar and payed 15€ for 2. The water boiler in the room was dirty, smelly and had a black residue in the bottom. Weird thing there was no mirrors in the room.
