Enter through the side-door after parking in the private driveway, using the private key-code provided to you at check-in. You’ll enter into a warm, modern, functional space. There’s a mid-century modern aesthetic that works perfectly with the floorplan, the era the home was constructed, and the big, open windows that let in plenty of natural, Colorado light. The main living room offers an inviting area to relax, right next to the fully functional kitchen, ready for your culinary creations. There’s seating for four in the breakfast nook area, with an additional 4 seats available at the living room bar. As nice as the interior is, you might be tempted to spend more time outside, though — the outdoor living at this home is exceptional.
Just out the front door is an inviting patio and deck with plenty of outdoor seating — perfect for an evening spent out under the Colorado sky admiring the stars, altitude-enhanced and brighter than they should be in a town this size. The space is perfect for a morning’s cup of coffee in the clear, mountain air. Around back in the spacious and private yard is additional seating and a gas grill. (Though check with us to see if any local fire restrictions might apply). Be sure to note the view of Pikes Peak, “America’s Mountain,” from this open, airy space. Very large fenced in backyard to enjoy!
Back inside and on the main, upper level you’ll find 3 bedrooms. Two feature queen comfort and the third features a twin bed with a trundle option. Down the stairs from the main level is the lower level, complete with an inviting den offering comfortable seating, tv and foosball table! Its historical, Old West roots are still visible along Colorado Ave (just 2 blocks from this home) and the locally-owned restaurants, the boutiques and galleries and artisan shops, cafes, bars and events have made it one of the most sought-after location for visitors and guests to the Region. Really, if you’re new to Colorado Springs, this is the part of town that you’ll want to stay in, with all of the best-known attractions right at your footstep, or just up the road.
Hikers and bikers will want to check out Red Rocks Open Space Park, just across from HWY 24, with endless trails through rock formations that equally rival those of the better-known Garden of the Gods up the street. Manitou Springs, with access to the Incline, and Pikes Peak Cog Railway, is just 3-5 minutes further west. Visitor friendly, convenient and offering what some might say is spectacular access to the natural and built amenities of the area, this neighborhood presents an exceptional entertainment and overall value proposition to the savvy traveler and short-term rental guest.
The property is within walking distance to downtown Old Colorado City. Although restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, parks and other attractions are located within walking distance to this property, we recommend that you have a car or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. Also, we can provide you with specific bus routes to help you get around.

Last, it’s your vacation, so you probably don’t want a lot of RULES. So think of these more as our strong requests/advice:
-Please refer to the tablet in the home for the latest firepit guidelines/restrictions.
-Please Do not pour grease down the kitchen sink
- Please note that the down town area can tend to be home to those who are homeless.
- No smoking inside. This includes Colorado’s newest cash crop.
- We provide fresh sheets, towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and essentials like shampoo, soap, toilet paper etc.
- Late check-outs (12pm) are available if there is no back-to-back booking, at $25 per hour.
- We cannot guarantee an early check-in, as we need time to make sure this property is perfect for you before your stay! Please check with us on the day of your arrival to see if the property will be ready early.
- Please call us with ANY trash issues! Or any issues for that matter!
- Pets are allowed (dogs only) for a fee of $50/week

Non-Refundable Damage Deposit Waiver:
- Instead of charging a security deposit, Hoste charges a non-refundable $99 damage waiver fee that covers up to $2,500 for damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of your acts or omissions.
