Got 2 rooms with me and my kids, gf, and her kids. Gf room was ok, but there were cig burns on comforter.
My room smelled like vomit, strongly, bathroom was dirty, tub had gunk all over it, and door was just open when I got to it. Told front desk attendant, he said he had one other room available. He asked if I moved anything in the room I said maybe the bedsheet. He asked me to go turn it back down because he "didn't want to."
That one was humid and smelled like rotten milk so badly that my children both gagged. I tried to talk to him about it and he said that was all he could do. I asked him about a refund and he said it was non refundable. Knew before I asked.
Went back to gf room to explain situation, said my kids could stay with her and I would stay in rotten milk room. Then I noticed the lock clasp on her door was broken. Went to front desk to explain. He said he couldn't help me. That the key card lock should be sufficient. I said IDK who has keys that open that door, they can be copied. He said that was not likely.
2 exterior doors were also broken in a way that they stayed unlocked. Front desk said he knew about this and couldn't do anything.
With their being a lack of sanitary conditions, safety, comfort, or care from staff, I had to make the hard decision to find a different hotel. At 3am (1 hour after arrival). Will never use Baymont, Wyndham again.
The Hampton Bay Inn I stayed at was nice though.
