The main building right in front of the beach was under renovation and was not accessible at all. This was not mentioned neither on Expedia nor on the hotel website. We were very disappointed that we could not enjoy the pool in front of the beautiful beach, and dining at the facility.

Staff was great. Parts of the property were not working such as fountains in hallways. Food wasn’t good. Foods that are part of the culture in D.R. had no taste. They had no more king size bed so they put two twins together to try to accommodate without telling us which I wish they would have at least asked if that’s what we wanted. We also had to call to clean the laying areas outside due to some cats walking on it with muddy paws. We called and everyone responded quickly but the point of paying for such a nice place is to avoid this and to walk into a place where everything is clean and ready to go. There was also an air conditioner leak in the room which basically we just dealt with it with a towel on the floor. Again staff is great but just seems like the pictures are different then when you get there. the place needs an upgrade and to sell it with pictures and then not get what you thought you paid for is unfair.

There were some hiccups with check-in but after that our week stay was absolutely gorgeous. The Reserve is very kids friendly and our 18 month old had the time of her life! So did we. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We stayed in a master one bedroom suite that was so spacious. I dont have enough nice things to say about the hospitable staff who were all warm and helpful. Cant wait to come back.

I booked a ocean front room and the hotel was under construction i had to take a golf cart to get to the beach was not happy at all. We could not see the beach at all from the hotel they put us in! And was never told about it until we got there.
