8/10 Very Good

Charlotte has a good, healthy, downtown
The downtown location is great, and it is easily walked, from the NASCAR museum, to the Dunhill. The lobby is on different level than the desk, so it's not easy to check in from Tryon street. Rooms have refrigerator, but the floors do not have an ice-machine. We had a King room, and paid extra for this--it is a much larger room. It is a nice landmark, smaller hotel, with a nice--old style lobby, and bar--but if you're satisfied by "modern" properties--you should stay with those.

2/10 Poor

Very Dissatisfied
We had reservations at the Dunhill in Charlotte, NC. This was a stay I had planned for my wife and I as we were going to a small concert, and had childcare taken care of so we had the evening to ourselves. When we got in, there were already two people at the front that had been there for awhile and the person at the desk, although apologetic, did not know how to get anyone a room, find a reservation, or solve a simple issue as to just getting a room for the two people that had been waiting over an hour. She did try to call her supervisor Alex to get logged in correctly and he did not answer. Another person that was there named Kevin was not any smarter, as he just told one of the two people that I will just refund your room which the customer did not want as he had been waiting and wanted some kind of room. We waited at least 30 mins to be helped by someone other than the trainee that was there. We were going to miss our concert so we could not wait until someone was smart enough to figure it out. We went to the concert and decided not to come back And wait another hour for somebody to know how to get a person a room which I feel is simple. Highly disappointed in the service and lack of computer skills. One of the two gentleman waiting in front of us was given a room earlier that was occupied, and the water I had heard was very muddy and murky looking. Do not stay at this hotel.

2/10 Poor

We checked in and were given a room assignment. When we used the key to open the door we found the room occupied! When we requested a different room the front desk person said she was in training and needed help but when we returned from dinner it would be sorted out. It was not. They moved the people out of the original room but found the bathroom had no water. I asked why did it have to be that room? Just put us in a different room. She didn’t know how but if we would wait for her replacement he may be able to help. It took some time but he put us in a different room. The bathroom of that room had no water either, however. WiFi did not work either. Overall a tremendous disappointment. We’ve stayed here several times before but never will again.
