Our room was simple, but spacious and clean. The staff was friendly. It's an older property that has clearly been updated a time or two, but their next major update should be to move onto electronic key cards. They still use the older metal keys on a large heavy fob that needs to be left at reception upon going out. Convenient central location close to Central and Garibaldi stations. And decent enough that we'd stay again.

A good location, close to the central station. Nice spacious room, good facilities. There are lots of cafes and restaurants close by. The windows in the rooms with the street view are not well isolated and it can be very loud on that street until late. Overall, good value for money for a short stay.

Though check-in was excellent and the linen was clean, the hotel bedroom requires a total re-fit. In fact, I do believe that there were more cracks in Room 274 than in Pompeii! Cracked tiles in the shower, cracked tiles on the side of the bath, cracked washbasin surround, flickering lights in the bathrooms and two steps to reach the toilet - not ideal for 60+ year olds in the middle of the night. Was there a better room available, I'm not sure? It is Europa Hotel's nearness to the railway station and the Central Coach Park is its main advantage. The price was high - given the poor quality of the room. The breakfast was good - but the 'self-serve' was more like feeding prisoners in a work-camp! (18+ eyes watching). Give us a break guys ... if we're paying 112 Euros a night, we're not likely to be serial kleptomaniacs.
