Down by the Harbour channels a Parisian flair with its retro posters and bistro-style chairs. We are, however, brought back to Copenhagen with the sound of liveliness coming from the street below. Located on an offshoot to buzzing Nyhavn, it doesn’t really get more central than this – in many ways, living so close to Nyhavn feels a little like being in the middle of a postcard of Copenhagen. The location is a huge plus, but if you’re the kind of traveller that craves peace and quiet, you might find this place a little too noisy.
Home truths:
* Guests 3 and 4 would be on a sofa bed in the living room
* When we visited, we noticed some scuff marks on the wall
* The bedroom is only separated from the communal area by some furniture – it’s not the most private bedroom we have ever seen
* Due to its proximity to popular night clubs, bars and restaurants – it's a little noisy
* It is the top floor flat of an old building and there’s no air conditioning – it could get hot in the summer months
* This home is located on the third floor with no elevator, be prepared for some up and down
