We checked in at 10:30 pm on a Friday night. The restaurants, all of them, were closed. We had to go into the casino to buy bottles of water. We went to bed hungry. Saturday morning, 7:30 am, construction noises began in a room directly next to us. Hammering, saws, the works. Linens are sparse. Single top sheet that felt like plastic. No blanket. Two towels. No exactly comfortable. The shower design looks nice, but it leaks water all over the floor and you will be forced to sacrifice your hand towel , unless you want to take the risk of slipping on the floor. You had use tickets to get pool towels. Only 1 towel per person. Most of the rooms are located across the street from the beach. The main pool is directly next to the lobby. All of the “beach” chairs are in the lawn, overlooking the beach. Breakfast buffet looks impressive. But it’s just redundant. Several trays of the same typical Tico breakfast you can get anywhere. Rice, plantains, local sausage and eggs. Worse, make sure you get there by 10am or it’s gone!! Be at dinner before they close at 10pm!! Yikes! For the price, I expected a little bit of the creature comforts, extra towels, take your time, relax. Nope. No relaxing. Hurry up if you want to get the bare minimum.
