Complimentary bottle of Water please
When I was checking in the hostess at the check in desk was not friendly or accommodating. I asked if the water was complimentary in the room. She responded “complimentary water is only for preferred guests”. I stayed in numerous of Hampton Inn’s throughout the Northeast, and i was never denied water when requested, water is complimentary in all Hotel chains, but not at this location. When i started to walkaway, she mentioned that “the breakfast was complimentary” as it was suppose to make me feel better that the breakfast is free. That makes a lot of sense. The breakfast is free but not the water, really??? she looked like she wasn’t happy to be at her job, or maybe she was one french fry short of a happy meal. I will choose a more friendly Hotel next time I’m in the area.

Overall. Very good experience.
Traveled for a Baton Twirling Competition. Room was clean, staff was friendly. Kids had a lot of fun. Pool was closed because of COVID guidelines but it didn’t state that anywhere on the websites (hotel website or hotels.com) so they were disappointed but that’s not a big deal. Our only issue was they didn’t want to accept our debit card on check in. They wanted a credit card only. We don’t have a credit card in our names and they didn’t seem to understand that. Also when you book you will get an email saying that the incidental hold is $100 that is not the case when you arrive. The hold is $250 actually. Breakfast was good. Lots of places to eat around and good access to shopping. Would stay again.

Awesome hotel, pool is closed :(
Clean, comfortable and updated hotel with very friendly staff. Family loved the continental breakfasts and the make-your-own-waffles. Only minor complaint about the hotel itself was a weird noise above us every few minutes that sounded like someone was dragging furniture.. but as we were on the top floor we figured that unlikely. We do however have a huge issue with Hotels.com. The hotel pool during our stay (Feb 2022) is closed for maintenance, a fact that did not appear anywhere on their site nor we were ever notified. We were traveling with children and specifically chose this hotel because of the indoor pool. It was a huge disappointment, and because we did not learn of this until check in, it was too late to alter our reservation through Hotels.com per their own policy. Perhaps they keep their customers ignorant on purpose. This is actually the SECOND TIME Hotels.com has neglected to notify us of hotel amenities being closed at booking or in a follow up email. As an added bonus, their "live chat" associate kept us hanging for over half an hour when we contacted them, and warned us to not disconnect. We were offered a pitiful little coupon off our next booking, but I doubt we will use Hotels.com again. Even the lovely concierge let us know they are problematic for a lot of people. We would absolutely recommend this hotel (if you do not mind the lack of pool), and strongly suggest you book through another service.
