Amara Resort and Spa
- Free WiFi
My experience of this hotel was mixed. The location is out of this world, with the rock…
It was good overall, but I planned 5 nights stay. I was in the room undressed the Monday…

Great hotel and I will be back with my family!
The hotel was not enforcing wearing masks indoors. There were several guests without masks in the lobby and throughout the hotel during our stay. Rooms are not accessed via outside corridors as stated. Overall very disappointing, we had higher expectations having been here before. This is our last time however.
The room was very nice- we requested a room "overlooking the garden" but really it overlooked the pool and and a partial view of the garden. To get to our room, you had to pass through different sections of the building, and there were stairs (no ramps)- hard to do when you are dragging luggage and carrying bags. There was nothing wrong with the hotel, I just really think it was overpriced for what you got. We would not return. Over-inflated prices on everything. We paid the resort fee, which we understood, but room service was also super pricey and valet was required which we didn't really care for especially during covid. So to get on our way swiftly took a bit of time. People at the front desk could not produce our full set of charges when we checked out since we went through a third party to book, which I also didn't like, which meant we left without a complete receipt. I think you could get more for your money somewhere else.
My wife and I for our 20th Anniversary. Our room was clean, quiet, & comfortable. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant. The hotel location was great in Uptown Sedona. The only catch is it is a 100 to 200 feet below street level and quite a hike to go walk around Sedona.
I travelled to Sedona last week with a group of 5 girls and was disappointed in my stay. Rooms were ok. We had booked 3 rooms and I had called a week before my stay to request the rooms be close together. I was told that they would only be a couple of rooms away but one of our rooms were completely on the opposite side, no where near the other. My girls and I were looking forward to the yoga and because of Covid we were told this was not available. Why are they charging a large Resort Fee when all of the amenities are not available. Will not be staying here again!
Overpriced drinks and food. Housekeeping did not come when requested and there was no comp offered. Did not get a view as stated. Groping college kids at Poland no one did anything. Very disappointed.
This is a beautiful place to stay in! Was nervous because of covid but they had regulations set in place. The only thing I wasn’t happy with is that as Gold members, we had 2 free drinks and they still charged us when we checked the bill after. Wasnt too happy about that. Also our phone didn’t work and the tech didn’t know how to fix it. So we had to constantly go to the front desk to ask for anything. Overall good stay.
The staff was very welcoming and made our anniversary weekend extra special. Thanks for a great time! Hope to be back someday.
Beautiful backdrop. Quick stay.
Room was worn beat up. Hair from previous guest in tub. Most uncomfortable bed ever!!! Friendly staff.
