Very good 8.0
We’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times. It’s very clean and hospitable. During the pandemic amenities are closed, even though restrictions have eased, which is unfortunate and a loss of revenue.

Good 6.0
I have stayed at this hotel many times in years past. I was very dissappointed this time. The bathroom had not been cleaned properly. There was long black hair on the bathroom floor in 2 places. No new toilet rolls of paper. The tv was not hooked up properly, someone had to come and figure it out. The entire room needed to be updated, just old! The staff however, were great! and the bed extremely comfortable!

I have stayed here numerous times and I have always been satisfied.

Not a soaker tub
Soaker tub advertised but not. Very disappointed in this fact because that was the reason I booked the room. My girlfriend was disappointed but wouldn’t allow me to complain and ask for a different room

They shouldn't advertise take away breakfast and then not have it. I'm sure they haven't lowered their prices for this.

Good 6.0
We booked with The Ambassador recently and it seems that everytime we order through someone other than the hotel we get a less than up to date room. Screws popping out of the walls, burnt lamp shades, view of a brick wall where the cooks may normally take break. I truely feel we could have rented a room at a motel and had a better room. Id normally recommend the Ambassador, but after this time and my last visit i would not unless youre in late, sleeping, waking up and leavibg right away.

Good 6.0
Staff is wonderful. Super guest focused. Sadly the accommodations are tired. We arrived just before 4pm, were assigned to room, 350, due to covid regulations the only door we could use was the main one so that was definitely an inconvenience however it is what it is. Upon entering the room it reaked of old stale cigarette smoke, even though the property was non smoking, in the past this room was definitely a smoking room, and to non smokers with a toddler the smell hit you hard. We opened the window and began spraying the room down in medical grade disinfectant, so that it was a safe enviroment for both us and the baby. The room had what looked to be fresh ish paint, and newer carpet and bathroom vanity / tile. The toilet was circa 1957 and the seat was not visually pleasing it was yellowed in spots, looked dirty/nicotine stained. The bathtub was dated with a creepy dirty looking shower curtain but nice freshish tile tub surround to match the floor. There were cob webs in corners on the floor and dust bunny's. The beds and the arm chair were probably about 25 years old. The water in the room was fairly cold even turned to hot in the sink. Im disappointed that this was my experience as previous reviews I had read about this property were great and even some kingston locals I spoken to said that the ambassador was a top tier hotel there. The lobby is beautiful, has an amazing fire place and beautiful Christmas tree.
