Clean and quiet
Check-in was quick, the room was clean and cool, the location is easy to find. After we went to bed, the room was so quiet when the AC kicked off that we had to set the fan to stay on for a little bit of white noise. Simple free breakfast and hot coffee in the morning.

The hotel was a bit run down. The rooms were clean, the front office was small but the worker was friendly. Liked the location wasn't in the busiest area but it was nearby.

Disappointing Stay in Galveston
This is a very old property. Pillows were very flat. shower tub is in need of replacement, bed was very uncomfortable, had to kill a bug in the room. A/C took a long time to cool the room. Breakfast of cereal, small muffin, coffee was not really a "breakfast" in my book. Thought the rate was WAY too expensive for the quality of the room. I guess it was all about paying for the location and not the quality or comfort.

Made the reservation on April 15th for the room. Arrived at 10:30pm to check in and was told that Expedia had canceled my reservations. I made the reservation with Hotels.com. The lady was extremely rude and told us she has no vacancies and that me not having a room was my problem, not hers.

The first room was horrible the room was so bad with the smell of smoke that you couldn’t even breathe right so we went to the front desk asked him to move us they moved us to a supposed non-smoking room we’re still had some smell of smoke but then we also found blood on our sheets

Good for the price
Pros: Room was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. A/C was nice and cold and mini fridge was plenty big enough to hold our stuff. Distance to everything wasn’t bad… it is an island after all, it’s only so big. Overall it was good for the price. Cons: The bed was hard a rock… my back was killing me after 2 nights and the pillows were flat as a board. We had to go purchase pillows since we left ours at home, but we couldn’t do anything about the bed comfort unfortunately. Also… prepare to feel like Joe Pesci in My Cousin Vinny with the train that runs next to the hotel at all hours of the night, because… you guessed it, there’s a train that runs next to the hotel at all hours of the night. It didn’t keep me up but it is annoying to hear loud train whistles at 11pm or midnight when you’re trying to settle down and get comfortable.
