I have stayed here at the Fiesta Inn Tampico Hotel multiple times and I always ask for the lagoon view when its available and will keep doing so. I can say enough about the Staff, the food, the acomadations. This last stay was not as pleasant in our room, I work in construction so I'm very understanding that maintenance and upgrades are a must. But in opinion is that if work was scheduled to be done over my room 601, that this room should have been put on hold until the work was completed. Yesterday we had not planned to leave our room and just to stay in. And enjoy the Hotels ameneties that it has to offer on premises. But instead we were awaken by spunds of Jack hammering and the it continued thru out the day and the once again this morning by workers chipping away with hammers and chiesels. We also used the Taxi service within the Hotel and was charged $100.00 pesos to be taken across the street the 360 Restaurant. The driver seemed to be bother by the short distance because of kaotic driven, instead of making it a nice ride for my date and I. If I would have been by my self when I came back to the Hotel I would have never paid for the ride because it was not in a Taxi but it seemed to be a personal car and the way we had to hold on from being thrusted around like rag dolls in the back seat.

Great location, it is on Hidalgo Ave. you are close to restaurants l. Starbucks and the hotel has airport shuttle which is the best.

Mainly, the air conditioning was extremely loud and somehow at the same time barely enough to keep the room at a reasonable temperature. They need better ac equipment. The sheets were the complete opposite of soft. And oviously on a very hot day I wanted something refreshing to drink, and there was no fridger or even a vending machine. The only option was room service.

Best choice, but......
rooms have been remodeled and look much better, comfortable california king matreses. Toilets much be cleaned with "CLORO" every day, our toilet had a bad dirty smell, even after the maid cleaned it with their soap.Have new air condition units that are not as loud as the ones they had before. They removed the small refrigerators from the rooms ? why? Their service is stupendous throughout the hotel. Ask for a lake view room they are the largest ones and not expensive at all. The food quality has improved substantially, fruits are fresh and have a good variety for breakfast buffet. Eventhough on Hotels.Com the hotel advertises "25% off on meals and beverages", once you are there they will not provide you a discount on the breakfast. Still it is the best choice in Tampico. We have traveled to Tampico on business for close to 20 years.
