Overall, this was a good couple's trip. My husband I had wanted some R&R for the weekend, and this was our second time staying here.
No major issues. The only two complaints are: 1. The price of the breakfast buffet is way too steep. So, if you're traveling with children, or if you want to save money, book a suite with a kitchenette and cook inside your suite.
Also, the bathroom and some of the hotel decor in general looks outdated. Touch ups and renovations are needed before it gets too far gone.
Thirdly, the "resort" is not much of a resort in the true sense of the word. The 4th and 6th floor, which offer the major amenities, are always dead and super-quiet. There is hardly any traffic up there. Something need to be done to liven up these areas.
Aside from the above, our room was clean and comfortable on both stays. We had great views of the beach. Everything you need is really inside the resort, but food around the area is often cheaper. Pack your snacks and a cooler full of juices, water and drinks and you'll be okay. Also, get the room that has a kitchen and cook at least two of your meals inside your suite to save money.
We would recommend this resort! It's kid and family friendly and the area is relatively safe.
