Excellent hotel at a good price
Royal on the Park is old school luxury. The rooms are clean and modern - just decorated with old school taste. This is an excellent hotel at a good price. The service is excellent and the staff is attentive. We ate one meal and had a few drinks in the lobby bar. If you ask, you can order some food items from the restaurant menu that are not listed on the bar menu - which was handy when my family just wanted a quick informal meal. They made very good iced coffee for my daughter in the morning. We are one late dinner at the Walnut restaurant on a Sunday evening. It was an elderly crowd that appeared to be regulars. Our meal was ex$cellent The location is beside the botanic gardens, near the river walkway, and near Queen Street, so is convenient and quiet.
