Rough and dated hotel that is severely short-staff
We should have known when our room wasn't ready at 5 pm that this wasn't going to be a present stay. Upon arrival, no one was even at the front desk. After finally seeing a staff member there was much confusion about our room and when it was going to be ready. After finally getting a room we were greeted with a room that clearly had some major damage to the ceiling that was in poor repair condition. Everything felt a bit dirty. The decor is straight from the early 2000s. The even worse part is there is no staff available to help with anything. All phones were disconnected with no ability to reach the front desk. Instead, you have to walk down and try to find someone working. All of our requests were ignored and no items were brought to our room. We requested a crib for our infant a day before check-in. We were assured they had cribs. At 7:30 I walked down and requested a crib. I was assured one would be brought to the room. At 9 pm I went down again and was reassured they were on the way. No crib was ever brought to our room. Instead, we had to find one locally. Literally had to get our own crib. 0/10 hotel. Avoid.

The location of the hotel couldn't be better when visiting Bank of America Stadium, but there are definitely some con's to staying at this location. Upon checking in, there was an issue and it took about 20 minutes to get fully checked in. After checking in, we parked and tried to validate parking. They took our parking ticket, but when leaving in the morning, the parking garage requires a ticket to leave which we didn't have since we gave to front desk. Fortunately, someone was able to let us out. Back to our stay, after checking in, we head to our room and realize 1 of 2 elevators wasn't working. Any time going up or down, you had to wait at least 5 minutes. With the hotel as busy as it was, you'd think fixing the elevator would be a major priority! The room itself was very nice and clean. The bed was very firm and you could hear the springs squeak so there were random spots where it was firm and others where it wasn't at all. It was not the most comfortable bed. Overall, the room was decent and staff was nice, but for the price and location, too many small annoyances.

Enjoyed my stay at the Residence Inn. It was clean location is great and the staff us very friendly. My only issue is the room that I stayed is right behind the elevators so we heard the elevators going up and down all night. I would have changed rooms but was too tired to do so. I work in the construction industry so who ever designed this building really did a piss poor job because guest should not be subjected to that noise. So word to wise make sure they dont place you in any rooms ending in 10 or 12, you will be behind the elevators. Otherwise it was a decent stay. I would definitely go back but would make sure my room is somewhere else.
