I have stayed at the Chatrium Riverside before so I thought I’d give this hotel a try as it was half the price. First class hotel, but not such a great location. You will need a taxi to go anywhere.

Best Place in Bangkok for Families!
We live in China and travel to Thailand often as a vacation almost every year. Chatrium Residence Sathorn is our go to place of refreshment for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The pool is super amazing and I absolutely love the pool bar and the breakfast. Rooms are big and family friendly and the area around the hotel (unlike a lot of places in Sukhumvit area) is really perfect for families and does not feel shady or sketchy. Nice family massage places within 50 meters of hotel. And Rama 3 mall is right there and the hotel offers daily shuttles there. A great peaceful location in the city without being way far out. Breakfast is huge and really high quality. Front desk staff are on point. Bellman is great and highly qualified. This is our favorite hotel in Bangkok and we have been there almost every year and keep going back! There are A LOT of hotel options in Bangkok, but if you are a family - look no further. This is EXACTLY what you want!
