This hotel is great for a 4 star in Mexico.
This hotel is great. People need to realize that 100’s stay each night and only a few complain. We are in their country and need to be more accepting. We love the Krystal and will be back.

Beautiful sunsets
Resort property is beautiful, as are the rooms. The resort staff were all friendly and worked hard to accommodate people. Pools were beautiful, but as all places, you need to get up early if you want any chair. That also included the beach. Sunsets were incredible and we watched whales daily from the pool. We had a beautiful room with a big bathroom. It was clean and floors were washed daily. Fridge always stocked. Our bathroom mirrors needed replacing as the backs are peeling, making them look dirty (they weren’t dirty). Wifi was non existent in our room. (Ocean front King Suite) Had to walk three doors down to get any wifi. Coffee shop made excellent coffees and the sky bar was a fun place to hang out and take in the view. Drinks and food poolside were good. They had burger fiesta and the burgers were fabulous. Also included fish and chicken burgers. Buffet had lots of choices - food was typical buffet food A downside for me was having to line up before 7:30 so we could get a reservation for one of the restaurants at the resort for the next day. Our friends came later during our stay and because they booked with another company their reservations at the restaurants were already made for them in advance. Not really fair to the people who have to line up for a reservation and then don’t get a time before 9:00pm or don’t get one at all. Overall, the resort is good value and a gorgeous place to stay. We would come back again knowing what to expect.

The buffet was horrible. There were not utensils for getting the food into your plate. Also the wine glasses were not washed properly. We watched as the staff wiped previously used wine glasses with a wet rag instead of actually washing the glass with dish soap and water. The food was not good at all. The desserts were not good tasting at all. They’re fruit gelatin was flavorless and almost tasted like plastic. We stayed for 6 nights and didn’t have housekeeping come to clean our room until a few nights in. We never had washcloths in our room and were lucky we got a hand towel. We had to keep asking to have our bath towels replenished since we hardly had housekeeping. The snack bar was terrible as well. The only thing they offered were French fries sprinkled with garlic and some plain old nachos, which were literally tortilla chips thrown on a plate with a scoop of cheese. No garnishments or attempts to make it even look somewhat appealing. Overall I was pretty disappointed. The property and the grounds were well maintained and manicured but I would not stay here again.

Property is nice because it is easy to navigate, not being too large. However, we had a leak from the shower that went into to dining area. The phone in room did not work making it impossible to order room service.Maintenance was notified, but nothing was fixed, nor were we offered another room. I found communication very difficult with daytime registration.
