Great property, close to the Alstadt with great staff. It's not fancy but clean and very adequate. Our room was great for family and our puppies, remarkably spacious for a budget hotel.

A water carafe at breakfast broke and cut my hand, while I was pouring a glass of water. The carafe was extremely thin glass and should not have been used for that purpose.

All staff were friendly and tried to be helpful but not overly informative. It has great potential if management would warm it up a bit! Lounge? Not really.Wifi - iffy. I’ve stayed with Ibis in a few countries - some better, some worse. This one was clean and fairly quiet with a great location but with zero atmosphere. If all you want is a bed and shower, this might work fine you. If you want something alive in this beautiful location, you might want to look elsewhere. I did.

Good basic accommodation in an excellent location
This is a good choice, especially for those who travelled by car, given the availability of a secure underground car park (for extra cost). The room itself was clean and comfortable, but basic as you would expect for a budget chain hotel. Location is within comfortable walking distance from all key sites in the old town. Overall a pleasant stay.
