Lovely view, as we paid extra for Vesuvius. It was not soundproofed as well as we’d hoped, but perhaps because we were put in a conjoining room (with the door between us closed) and on the side closest to the road/station. It felt like we heard every door open and close, every honk from the outside, and especially the people in the room beside us. We appreciated the ease of access to the train and to our special excursion. Breakfast was a nice touch, and appreciated the selection. The coffee wasn’t great, but we asked for cappuccino and espresso and it was given to us with no issue. They also allowed us to keep our luggage in the hotel for an hour after checkout, which was helpful while we waited for our ride. Overall, it was a very classic hotel experience. House keepers were kind and said hello, as well as other staff around the building.
